Our company has also started its activities in the field of agri-informatics in recent years.
SOIL-IQ
(Surfing Under the Surface)
Within the framework of the GINOP-2.1.2-8-14-16-2017-00045 project, the SOIL-IQ (Surfing Under Surface) geoinformatics solution and a measurement tool have been developed.
Precision Management - Data-driven Operations
There is a global trend for experts to focus on the status of surface water and deeper groundwater, but less is known in detail about the water supply to the soil, one of the habitats of plants. This information on soil physics is essential for the further development of precision farming.
The SOIL-IQ system aims to cover the whole environmental spectrum and, taking into account meteorological conditions and trends, soil physical and chemical parameters, crop type needs, to be able to continuously monitor this information, the correlation of the different environmental effects and to provide decision support functions to its partners.
The complex analysis of data and information in the system not only allows lessons to be learnt in hindsight, but also allows future events to be predicted in advance, even as the environment changes, and thus allows timely intervention in current plant life processes.
In many ways, the use of SOIL-IQ can provide a novel solution for farmers, academics, environmental agencies and water management organisations, regardless of size, in a scalable and precise way.
The benefits of SOIL-IQ
SOIL-IQ provides users with a new perspective, an unprecedented opportunity to understand the subsurface at the parcel level. By continuously monitoring the ever-changing physical and chemical environmental parameters, the system enables the most precise servicing of plant life needs.
Latest news:
In recent years, there has been an increasing focus on the communication capabilities of IOT devices (probes, measuring instruments, etc.). We are pleased to inform our partners that ELCOM's system is compatible with LoraWAN communication networks. Many of our probes measuring environmental parameters are already able to operate stably from stand-alone batteries, with LoraWAN communication, even in the most remote areas without mobile coverage.
More information about the system or the measuring instruments can be provided after formal contact.
